This book pulled me in right away, which was great because I have been in a GIGANTIC reading slump. Honestly, I have been DNF-ing more books lately that I can even count. But this book is so well written and definitely not the AI-slop we're being pushed on social media these days.
This topic captivated me because it specifically explores the different paths modern America women can travel. While there is certainly a lot of material regarding "trad wives" it is so much more than that. My favorite line from the book that I have since used in various conversations (including the dinner table) is "America hates women."
The beginning to mid-point is the highlight of this book for sure. I only gave it four stars because it did become a little unhinged at end but it was not a deal breaker at all.
